Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy services include manual therapy, Functional Dry Need/Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), ultrasound, electro-stim modalities, exercise prescription, and a variety of other treatments. Each case is different, every person is unique. Our experienced and conscientious physiotherapists will tailor a custom treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.

Massage Therapy

Massage can help decrease muscle tension and pain, promote improved circulation, and increase general wellbeing. This is treatment that is not only beneficial for helping with injury recovery, but also with general health, postural maintenance, and helping to counter the stress that our busy world brings in to our lives.

Chiropractic

Chiropractic care has a wide spectrum of interventions. Our chiropractors focus on the basics and fundamentals, leaving the “voodoo” stuff to other clinics. Manipulative techniques can help improve posture, increase ease of movement, and decrease pain.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of traditional Chinese medicine that has been practiced for centuries. Acupuncture and cupping are techniques that aim to help promote the bodies natural healing processes. It often involves the insertion of very fine needles in to specific points to stimulate these positive changes. Acupuncture and cupping can be used to address a wide variety of health concerns.

Kinesiology

Kinesiology means 'the study of movement'. Kinesology or "active rehab" utilizes exercises to stimulate the desired changes in the musculoskeletal system. The perfect compliment to our other rehab specialists, kinesiology can help you strengthen your weaknesses, improving your overall ability to move effectively and without pain.

Dr. Dev was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Winnipeg and completed his chiropractic studies at Life Chiropractic College West in California. His graduating class recognized him as the youngest student to graduate that class year. Shortly after graduating, he returned to Winnipeg to open his chiropractic clinic from scratch in the same neighborhood of Wolseley where he grew up. At that time, his main focus was sports injuries, and he worked closely with the University of Winnipeg Wesmen basketball team athletes. Dr. Dev’s wife later established her dental clinic inside the chiropractic clinic. His practice quickly changed from a sports clinic to a family clinic, where he felt privileged to work alongside his wife on TMJ patients. He also developed a particular interest in providing chiropractic pelvis adjustments for prenatal and postnatal women. The highlight of his days was adjusting infants and children.

After over 20 years of practicing in Winnipeg, Dr. Dev’s son’s university studies brought his family to beautiful BC. He is proud to call BC home and looks forward to treating the lovely people of BC.

I had worked for nearly ten years as a personal trainer, which I loved, but I wanted to be able to have a greater impact on people. After completing a bachelor’s degree in cellular biology and genetics at UBC and spending a year in South Korea teaching English, I attended UBC to get my master’s degree in physiotherapy. I have since completed the additional training necessary to offer Functional Dry Needling treatments, which I feel has been invaluable in helping people move better and get stronger. When working with any client, my basic tenet is this: find out what’s going on, find out what helps drive improvement, and determine how that client can maintain and progress that improvement on their own. My goal is not “addiction” to treatment. I strive to give people the tools and knowledge that allow them to drive the desired changes in their own bodies.
